Meet the Partners
Gareth Hughes FCCA
Having originally trained as an accountant and auditor within a city centre practice, Gareth qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001. After gaining Fellowship of the Association in 2006, he became Corporate Insolvency Manager at a leading international firm of Accountants and Insolvency Practitioners.
Having formed The Hughes Partnership from scratch in 2003, the practice has grown steadily since incorporation thanks to a diverse and loyal client base.
Gareth is passionate about assisting owner managed businesses to grow, thrive and survive, particularly during a challenging economic climate, and his vision has always been to run a modern and forward thinking practice, that provides clear, certain and consistent advice.
Outside of work he enjoys mountain biking, technology, travelling Europe and spending time with his two young boys.
Having decided a career change later in life, David provides a winning combination: maturity, professional expertise and a genuine interest in his clients business affairs.
David is a good listener, with excellent communication skills. He prides himself on his swift response to all client queries, offering clear, concise advice. Davidís work remains varied, including accounts, taxation, VAT and bookkeeping.
With his partner, Jacqui, he has been involved over the years in fundraising for several charities, one of which, The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys, assists over 1800 children a year.
